Game Summary
In this turn-based strategy game, take command of stranded astronaut crews as they clash over spare engine parts on a strange planet. Make use of resources from the environment around you to boost your own chances of survival or make youropponents’ much worse!
Supporting up to 6 players, two teams of 3 take turns navigating the grid-based map, moving engine cores back to their bases, and fending off the enemy using their arsenal of weapons. The first team to secure 3 cores wins!
Characters
- Designed 3 different astronaut characters - Nembus, Pavo, and Lyra
- Used distinct silhouettes for each to differentiate them during gameplay
- Modeled in ZBrush, retopo & UVs in Maya
- Rigged and animated in Mixamo, with skinning cleanup done in Maya
- Modeled and textured space rifle used by characters
- Textured in Substance Painter, created red/blue and green/yellow color schemes to differentiate teams
Other Responsibilities
- Designed backstory and lore for the game's world
- Used Basque language to create unique names for characters and in-world concepts
- Developed & maintained file structure and naming conventions for project organization
- Running playtests - creating feedback forms, gathering participants, and processing data
- Organized team Discord server for keeping track of communications, resources, and links
